I want to start with setting my intention for this space on the internet: I wanted to create a space (not social media) where my art and thoughts can live online. I want to share my thoughts, vibes and perspective for those in a similar situation as me or those who care/ are interested in the arts, disability or learning about others lived experiences.

So…Hello my name is Kyla. I am a chronically ill maker and artist living in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. I primarily use gouache, print making and mixed media to explore themes such as consciousness, nature and my world as a disabled person.

*I use the terms disabled and chronically ill interchangeably, for me that is what makes sense for my lived experience. For those who are wondering, I have Congenital Heart Defects with a Fontan circulation.
